7/8 months old is one of my favorite ages to capture....these little babies are usually happy, full of personality...sitting up...but not yet crawling away (meaning...they stay where you put them and smile!) This little girl did not disappoint! She was so sweet and her brother was also a cutie! What a fun family to photograph. I have never met a more polite 2 year old! It was always, 'no thank you' and 'yes please'. You will see in the pictures that this little girl had the most gorgeous eyes! No photoshop work for them, they really were that vibrant and beautiful! Enjoy!

WOW, you can call off the search and rescue...I am still alive. My apologies for the poor blog updates! I took some time off after a busy fall season for the holidays and the month of January, but now it is February and I am back and ready to start this year off right! You will soon notice some changes to my website in the next few weeks as I update it. I have lots of exciting plans for this year and can't wait for you to be a part of it! Just so you know, will be taking a limited number of sessions each month, so BOOK EARLY! We have a lot going on so I am going to be limiting the sessions I take so that I have the opportunity to invest in each of my clients the way I like to.
What do I have going on??? Well, We are moving, YAY! and Having another BABY girl, YAY! So, between all the packing, nesting, cleaning, unpacking, house projects and chasing around a joyful 1 year old...I will treasure my time to to be able to work on my passion and art for my clients! So, I look forward to this year and the fun and craziness it will bring!

I have been so excited for this session. This little guy has just captured my heart since I first 'met' him while reading his blog "Embracing Ethiopia". It is such a wonderful story and it is so neat to see the interaction of this family, Jon and Rachel are just head over heels in love with this little guy. I had the privilege to photograph this handsome guy. He captured my heart right away. I love his soft eyes. He is a patient at Riley Hospital and his wonderful nurses set it up so we could take pictures of him. My prayer is that his surgery will go well and he will get to go home with his loving family very soon...

He really is adorable. I had such a fun time trying to capture this guy, he kept me moving but I think it paid off, we got some really cute shots of him. I love the picture of him holding the book, look at his hands in that, I feel like it just captures such a precious time in the stage of toddlerhood. His tiny toddler hands are just too cute. I don't even have to say anything about the hair and outfits...they speak wonders for themselves...just adorable.

My niece Gracyn was in town this weekend for her 1 year old photo shoot and a visit. We went to The Flying Cupcake at 56th and Illinois for a little fun and photos. I love photographing at this place, it is decorated so cute, the people there are great and the cupcakes are perfect for celebrating that 1 year mark. I had the opportunity to go down to Bloomington to photograph the new baby of a dear friend. Shanea and I were roommates at IU for a year, and now she has a sweet baby boy. Her and her husband are great parents, it is so fun to see her in this new role. Here are a few of my favorites from my session with Jonah. This little guy did not want to sleep much for us, but I managed to snap a few during his short cat naps!
